Peel, wash and boil potatoes in little water with some salt
Chop the onions
Wash mushrooms and chop into slices
Slice apples
Sprinkle apples and mushrooms with some lemon juice to prevent them going brown
Melt 1 spoonfull of butter in a frying pan and fry the bacon for 5 minutes
Add mince meat and fry for another 5 minutes
Add onion, mushroom, cayenne pepper and salt
Squash garlic over pan
Continue frying for another 5 minutes
When potatoes are done, drain water, add milk and mash them. Add nutmeg and salt until nice and tasty.
Butter inside of oven dish, put meat mixture in the bottom, followed by apple, mash and finally the cheese. Distribute a few small pieces of butter over the top.
Cooking
Pre-heat oven to 225 degrees C (425 degrees F)
Cook in centre of oven for 25 minutes until golden brown
This dish is particularly tasty with andive salad
